Spiritual Life of Nicodemus and of Samaritan Woman Part 3
Main Read: John 3:13-18
Right now in that way Jesus is preaching the gospel. Verse 15 everyone repeat after me,” Whoever.” Everyone, what does that mean? No matter what kind of fairy serpent might have bitten you whether you are bitten by a fairy serpent called lust, hatred, greed, arrogance it doesn’t matter, whoever, whichever fairy serpent that you are bitten with whoever you are, no matter what kind of sin that you might have done no matter how evil you are if you only look upon the bronze serpent then you will be healed, you will gain life, you will receive salvation.
Everyone, why do you still say you have sin in your heart, why do you still say that you are a sinner? Because you are not looking upon the bronze serpent you are not looking upon Jesus who took your sin and died at the cross and said it is finished. Your sins are finished. I died for the sin of the world no matter what kind of sin you might have no matter how evil and dirty you are. Whoever it is, if you believe in Jesus he should not perish but have eternal life. Why? Because Jesus through his blood he has given us eternal life. He has given us eternal redemption for us.
As you hold on to the book of John 3 let us open the book of Hebrews 9:12. Everyone Jesus no longer with the blood of goats and calves but with his own blood, he entered the holiest place once and for all having obtained eternal redemption. Everyone Jesus he took his blood in heaven. Heaven is an eternal world in that eternal world he put his blood on the horns of the altar. Not with the blood of goats and calves not with the blood of an animal, He put His own blood and covered your sins eternally, therefore, giving you the eternal redemption.
God loved the world, he loved every one of us and he has given us His only begotten son Jesus, to do what? Whoever believes in him? It’s not that you've to live a good life, it’s not that you have to live a diligent life, it’s not that you've to say I believe in him. Those people who believe in him. What did it say? Should not perish but have everlasting life. What does it mean to say believe in him?
Believing in Jesus who died on the cross because of our sins and through that, he has given us that everlasting life. Verse 17 Everyone, Jesus didn't come to the world to condemn the world, to condemn you for your sin, in fact, he can't condemn you. That’s why in the book of John 8 when he met with the woman who was caught in the act of adultery he said neither do I condemn you go and sin no more. Jesus didn't condemn the woman, it’s not that he didn't, he couldn't condemn that woman. Why?
Everyone, what is condemned? Sin is condemned. In order for you to be condemned, you've to sin but he could not condemn the woman who was caught in the act of adultery. Why? Though she committed adultery but even her sin was in his back and he died at the cross. So in the eyes of Jesus when he saw that woman there was nothing which he could condemn her that’s why he said neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more.
When you look at John 4 there’s a Samaritan woman Jesus he spoke a word to Samaritan woman which ones again a nonsense John 4:14. Everyone, does it make sense? Jesus says I will give you the water if you drink the water that I shall give you, you will never thirst again. Everyone Samaritan woman she is the one who realized her true image, in a dirty woman, I have five husbands but even with the sixth husband, I'm not satisfied, even with the sixth husband I am still a failure she is the one who accurately realized that I am a failure. Because she realized her true image as a failure she was able to receive the word of Jesus the way it is in her heart.
Everyone it's not that you've to work hard to receive the word of Jesus through the bible, through the word of God, through the word Jesus when you reflect your heart and discover your true image although you don’t want to the word of Jesus will come in your heart the way it is. When the word comes inside of you, now the word which came inside of you starts working in your life.
Everyone is that right? Everyone, when you eat rice, when you eat food when you eat that food in which you received in your stomach, it becomes energy inside of you. Everyone is that right? In the same way, the word which you receive inside of you becomes an energy and starts working inside of you as well. I hope all of you can be the people who realize your true image through the word so that the word can come inside of you and settle in your heart the way it is inside of your heart.
