“Abraham the Father of Faith’

Genesis 17:15-21

God is not interested with the good I do, He only is interested in whether I believe in Jesus or not. A woman spends a lot on facial make up and on hairstyles, but the husband may not have any concern with it.

People who have not reached their end, cannot receive any guidance from others, and even though they pray to God, they still follow their thoughts. And believe in their own methods. They trust themselves.

FAITH is to open my heart towards God: my heart becomes one with God and the Word of God remains in my heart.

Noah heard once from God, Genesis 6:13-22, Thus Noah did; according to ALL that God commanded him, so he did.

Exalt the Word of God Above All Things

On the Other hand Abraham, he heard from God, but exalted his situation above the word of God (Genesis 17:3 & Genesis 18:12) How then Is Abraham called the father of faith, if faith is believing in the Word of God?

Abraham would have responded yes to the Words of God, but he did not and in fact followed after humanistic method to have a child.

Matthew 1:1;the book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. Likewise we are the people who pray before God and immediately return to our circumstances. This way faith cannot form in our hearts.

Consider the servants in John 2, their spiritual life level was very high, they followed the instructions from Jesus regardless of how senseless it was. How does one serve water as wine, but they overcame their thoughts and experienced the mighty works of Jesus. Seldom do we receive words that do not match with our hearts.

Jesus is our only hope according to Romans 8
