More Than 90 Sisters Get Together For Unique Fellowship
GOOD NEWS MISSION KENYA’S 1ST MARRIED SISTERS PICNIC SERVICE
The date is 9th of February 2019, about 85 married sisters including pastor’s wives of Nairobi metropolitan region gathered for a special picnic service at La Cascada Gardens, Ruaka outskirts of the capital Nairobi. The meeting was meant to unite our hearts through fellowship and allow sisters to share their hearts freely. The meeting was graceful and the turnout was great seeing the numbers of sisters present as opposed to a normal church gathering.
The married sister’s patron, Deaconess Elizabeth Mwangi, though having faced a lot of challenges in trying to decide where the married sisters’ picnic should be held, was thankful as she testified how God worked in her heart and opened ways so that the owner of the venue could allow the meeting to be held there at an unusually low price.

After the praises Samonim (Pastor’s wife) Christine taught briefly about mind Education to sisters. She said that proper mindset is to forsake yourself so that when difficulties come your way, you cannot succumb to them.
She read these words;
And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature that was the name thereof. - Genesis 2:19

Sisters learnt that no matter the situations we face, just like Adam named the beasts that God brought him in the Garden of Eden and so their name was. If we name our situations as difficult it shall be difficult.
On her part, Samonim JinJu shared these word;
Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh. - Ezekiel 11:19
She urged married sisters to change their common utterances. She said how she used to always give an excuse that she is busy as a reason for avoiding doing more works. However when she learned about Pastor Park’s heart, her heart changed.
“As much as Pastor Park is busy, when I observed him, he never said with his own mouth that he was busy, he just continued to live and work for the gospel.” Said Jin Ju. She said the same of her husband, Pastor Kim Yohan, who despite his busy schedule continues to live for the gospel. So after deep thinking she decided to remove the words “I’m tired,” “I’m busy” and even “I’m difficult” from her life.

The hallmark of the picnic came later in the day when the senior pastor Kim Yohan joined us and shared and testified how God has been working in the church. He said we should live our spiritual life through fellowship. When people fellowship the Holy Spirit flows and works in our lives. Pastor Kim also testified how the promise he received in Genesis 26:13 is working in the church through Mind Education.

As the day drew to a close the married sisters were able to feel the importance of attending this special service as they were able to have lots of fun, and also had a lot of spiritual lessons to learn in the process.
Two messages however stood out prominently;
1. To never say God will not work through us
2. To fellowship always.
The sisters had the heart that such meetings should be held more frequently as they were a fun way of learning spiritual life.
